Falling for swedish music

As I mentioned in previous post pastel colours will ‘attack’ us from the runways next season. Ok, maybe even faster as we can already have a look on 2012 designs. On Paris Fashion Week first to go was Dior with it’s brand new haute couture collection. Worth saying is, that it’s the first one after the scandal with John Galliano, who left the company in unpleasant circumstances. New designer, Billy Gayten, tried to keep Galliano’s spirit(they worked together for few years, so it’s highly possibly that they had simlar connection as Alexander McQueen with Sarah Burton), and choppy scenical character of the designs, which is easily noticable. However, the colours changed, so Dior’s outfits don’t look that dangerous and shady, which makes models look more approachable and feminime.

Personally I love all those brght and vivid colours we are mad about this summer, but it looks like next year’s bringing pastels this time. Bummer. Enjoy the colours untill you can. Actually, I don’t care, I’ll wear them next summer too!

Not an icon, but definitely a figure. Charismatic or simply just another cracker? Doesn’t really matter as she left not a single fingerprint, but whole road of signs. We’ll listen to her music, watching another genarations being fascinated with eye-liner make-up, nest-hair style and baby pink pumps.

Unlike some of the people, I prefer to look on the bright side and think, that Sarah Burton is an amazing fashion designer, not just another follower, in this case of Alexander McQueen’s genius. Only today Amy Winehouse joined the Club 27¬†and there’s no doubts, her voice was incredible, but why do we need to build an oltar to another person, who’s resposible for her own death a specially on a day, when in Norway eghty four teenagers were killed.

Anyway, fantastic collection Mrs Burton!

I have changed North London for Notting Hill. I’m not going to lie: I love it. Just have a look.
